Life is all about connection. And I don’t mean wi-fi connection. Think about a potato field. We all love fries, right? In order for us to enjoy them, the environment has to be healthy. Balanced ecosystems provide clean air, water, and fertile soils. So, a happy soil equals delicious fries. But if the land is hurting, crops won’t grow, and this will have catastrophic consequences in terms of biodiversity, food supply, health, jobs and markets. It will affect you somehow because everything’s connected. And one of the biggest threats to ecosystems is climate change. To keep our ecosystems healthy, we need to support projects that restore degraded lands, and use farming soil wisely, respecting its natural cycles, using sustainable methods, and protecting it. Because when biodiversity thrives, ecosystems become more resistant to climate change, and everybody wins. All of this can be achieved through environmental policies. But in order to activate them, people need to know what is at stake and understand that everything is linked. Only then we will be able to work together towards a more sustainable future.
